Swatches I Promised

Here are the final swatches for Pop Tart, Elphaba and Galinda.

Please see my previous post.  I'm taking orders through email right because of what I have explained there!

Pop Tart: For these swatches, I have the first version on my index finger in three coats, the new version on my middle finger in three coats, the first again on my ring finger in two coats over a white cream, and finally the new version on my pinky in two coats over a white cream.  There isn't much difference between them, but the glitter is completely different.  The only change I had to make colorwise was replacing the more pink-fuchsia hexagons with a lighter purple that is also slightly holographic.  I have bottles of both versions at this time.

Elphaba: For these swatches, I have three coats on my index, middle and ring fingers and one coat for comparison on my pinky to show opacity.   My camera couldn't pick it up very well on the nail this time, but the gold hexagons are holographic.  You can see a little of this in the bottle I'm holding.

Galinda: For these photos, I have three coats of Galinda on my index and middle fingers.  On my ring finger is two coats over a pink cream and on my pinky is two coats over a white cream.  My camera couldn't pick it up on the nail this time, but the purple is holographic.  You can see a little of this in the bottle I'm holding.

Pop Tart Giveaway!

Sounds mighty delicious, doesn't it?  Unfortunately, I am not giving you one of the guilty pleasure toaster pastries.  I am giving you a chance to own my first edition of Lacquer Convention's Pop Tart custom blended nail polish shade.  Over the weekend, I posted swatches of it and said that this particular glitter blend is going away.  While I tinker with other glitters and experiment, I still want to let some of my followers get a peek, so this is a big thank you to all of you for supporting my blog!

Here's how this little giveaway is going to work:

For a bonus third entry, I want you to submit a picture of you holding a Pop Tart.  Now, I know not everyone likes Pop Tarts or other toaster pastries, and I know not everyone is going to race out to the store to buy a pop tart just to take a picture of it!  (Though you could also eat it afterward.)  That's why I'm going to let you get creative.  The Pop Tart doesn't have to be real.  It can be a printed picture or a drawing or a sculpture or made of macaroni!  It can be a cat dressed as a Pop Tart!  It can be pop tart nail art!  It just has to resemble a pop tart.  And you don't have to show me more than your hand holding this picture if you're a little camera shy.  However, this is a nail polish blog and I want to see that you are wearing nail polish!

So again the photo requirements: A pop tart and some nail polish!

Lacquer Convention: Pop Tart

Today's polish is one that I've gotten the most feedback on, Pop Tart.

What do you think of my label?  It's the only bottle that had one at the time of photographs, mostly because I was still naming the other shades.

This polish is a very sheer white jelly with large and small rainbow glitter.  I was using a glitter blend that didn't exactly pan out, but I have a handful of bottles with this blend available.  The good news is, that I'm almost certain that I have a good source of acquiring similar glitters to produce this polish again, though it will definitely not be a 100% color match to this first batch.  It shouldn't take me much longer to figure out and I might even have an answer before I launch my shop.  

Otherwise, this is what Pop Tart 1.0 looks like.  These pictures show three coats.
