Nicki Minaj Nails

If you're a fan of OPI on Facebook, you probably saw their contest for a manicure inspired by Nicki Minaj for a chance to win the polish collection that she inspired.  I came up with an entry, though it is rather subdued compared to a lot of other entries.  I thought I'd show it to you all anyway!

These pictures are a few weeks old and I'm cringing at the way my skin looks in them.  I was actually using a bottle of acetone free remover at the time because I found it hanging around in my cosmetics, probably leftover from some time before I was completely obsessed with nail polish and might have thought it was a good idea.  Well it wasn't.  For me, it dried my hands and cuticles out waaaaaay worse than my normal remover with glycerin.  I realized it was the remover when I ran out and switched back and my other care routine hasn't changed.  Beware of acetone free remover!

Anyway, back to my manicure.  I love dots, so they were what I defaulted to.  I put down two coats of Orly's Sweet Peacock and went about dotting with bright colors.  It was a lot of fun to do!  I can't recall what all the polishes I used were at this point.  The irony here is that the only OPI used that day was my DS Top Coat!  Ah well.
